The situation in Italy shows that there really is no way for the West to avoid the Camp of the Saints-style Showdown: Either your government is willing to shoot the turd world Invaders (or at least empower the citizens to shoot them), or your country will commit National Suicide and everything you hold dear will be destroyed.

The solution isn't to bribe more turd world governments to temporarily hold back the Invaders, the solution is for border guards to shoot the Invaders, and keep shooting until they stop coming. This is entirely a question of Will.
