For the truly faithful Christian, the premise put forth in Zeitgeist is nothing short of heresy. It proposes that Moses was the usher of the Age of Ares, Jesus the usher of the Age of Pisces (hence two fish and all the fish symbolism), that the death and rebirth of Jesus corresponds to the end of the solar cycle (the sun goes into the region of the Southern Cross for 3 days), the star Sirius is followed by the 3 Wise Men (stars of Orion's Belt) that point to where the sun will rise on December 25th. The whole story is less astrological than it is astronomical, with the zodiac figures merely representing constellations. It all has to do the Precession of the Equinoxes, where every 2,150 years the sun rises into a new constellation. We are currently in Pisces, and around 2150 we enter Aquarius (Luke 22:10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.)
