One of the reasons that people who love socialism (secretly or openly) despise entrepreneurial solutions is that PnL is not a status symbol that is easy to fake.
You can have university credentials, good discussion skills, be admired in the society, generally outgoing, friendly. And yet an introverted weirdo outcompetes you by simply delivering better product or service.
Socialists like to dream, without real world (proven by PnL) experience manage and say how they are going to solve problems and usually fail even if the project is well funded by the state.
The problem is never funding. There's plenty of funding for good sustainable projects. The problem is that positive PnL takes real effort - even in fiat world, which makes money abundant.
And that's why they hate it. They want prestige that's based on cheap status signals.
