Imagine if there were 8 billion people on nostr.
Mutual Relay Model Fails to Scale:
If users need to connect to relays their peers are connected to in order to see each othersā notes, then how would that work for 8 billion people?
If each of us can only connect to 20ish relays before our phones slow down, then that means all 8 billion of us must connect to the same 20 relays to see each othersā notes.
This is centralization. 8 billion peoplesā notes canāt be stored on 20 relays.
#nostr needs low-overhead consistency, the C in the CAP Theorem. H.O.R.N.E.T. Storageš with the Scionic-Merkle Tree infrastructure will optionally provide this in a backwards-compatible manner. š±
