I would like to see #Nostr as the global agora in cyberspace. For this to happen we need to gather and display the knowledge for those who come next.

There is so much knowledge being shared on #Nostr. In form of links (to podcasts, websites, videos, books), but also in form of discussions and notes.

The thing is that these information are not noticed by the people that weren’t present in that conversation. It’s also hard to find things.

So I’ll propose a library on #Nostr. Alexandria. Decentralized in a global cyberspace.

How it might work:

- Voting system through #zaps for content quality
- Combine with highlights (PABLOF7z (npub1l2v…ajft))
- Tags through #zap note (u have to vote and “pay” to add tags)
- Highly valued content could be uploaded to special relays that just admit nodes with certain zap level and zap tags
- Inspired by Fedi: every community (for example #bitcoin Nostr) has their library and it’s relay, financed through split zaps (for every zap I make I give like 2% to the library relay)
- Could be a zero sum community model that the relay, if it gets to many zaps for the costs, pays back out to donors
- Community cares about there knowledge so higher quality is expected
- Community’s of different content can form links to point to crossover knowledge
- Relays could be federated, protected by guardians
- These relays can be found by hashtags
- Searchable through #tags, valued by #zaps

Next time history rhymes I want the next generation to find our discussions, knowledge and solutions. It might proof valuable, but in the very least it saves a lot of time.

Thank you StackSats (npub1hyc…v4y3) for the inspiration.
