If the chat control only applied to politicians and bureaucrats, it would make sense. You are so called public servant, you should be transparent with everything. But nooo, of course the public servants want privacy for themselves. Not only now. Remember Ursula's SMS messages with Phizer's Bourla? Deleted, nothing to see here plebs!
No mainstream media (in Czech Republic) reported on this round of proposals/voting. Not even today. Only the so called "far-right" and "tech" media covered it. It's funny that one of the article (released today, on the day of the vote) is paywalled. Shows how seriously these people take this attack on basic privacy and cryptography.
