Every Day is Election Day.
“The right to vote is the right upon which all other rights depend.” ~ Thomas Paine
Every human is born with a need for self-expression and a desire to be heard. From our first screams announcing our arrival to this life to our final deathbed groanings and every moment in-between, we are engaged in a war against all other noises fighting to drown out our contribution to the eternal soundtrack of the world each of us so briefly inhabit.
Some of our contributions to this symphony are beautiful. Others are redundant and unoriginal. While many may never be heard at all and are only amplified by how stupid, or brilliant, they may be – depending on who’s listening.
In reality, for far too many, their voices will never be heard beyond the sphere of control under which they live their lives as slaves to the ambiguous and overwhelming workings of a monster that is enabled by a system that touches us all.
This system, like any worthy adversary, never sleeps. We are all a part of it and up until very recently in human history, we have had no choice but to feed it our most precious and irreplaceable possession. The only thing that passes through our hands and is uniquely ours - and is always leaving us. That thing is time. And it’s running out. Yes. You were born. And you are going to die.
This is not up for debate. Do the math. The only question is, what will you do with the moments you have while you’re here.
Will you accept reality for what it is and do what’s expected of you?
Will you consume exponentially more than you produce and feed the lusts of the flesh while posting it on TikTok for the approval of the other slaves?
Will you affix your identity to the long line of political figureheads and chug the poisonous swill of manufactured information being streamed into your consciousness moving from outrage to outrage in a feeble and pointless attempt to project a life of purpose while numbing the aching throb of flickering individuality buried in the back of your seed oil saturated, machine processed, pasteurized and homogenized imitation of existence?
Do you have a choice?
Every few years, we are presented with an illusion of control. When our masters graciously and mercifully grant us a high interest loan of perceived power and influence and they call it a sacred right. The right to Vote.
So, we get fired up and pick our favorite contestant. With superiority and indignance we sacrifice relationships, compromise our values and disregard our very humanity at the willing cost to see our champion “win” so they can usher in a new world of change and the delivery of bold promises.
We proudly display our “I Voted” stickers as our final demonstration of devotion to the new savior and redeemer for the next few years. Until the next one comes along.
And yet, things don’t seem to change. Not really.
No, in fact they just continue to get worse.
Until now.
Until now, the permission to use our voices has been limited to election cycles and have been heavily manipulated and diluted through regulation and legislative process to the point of dribbling a weak mutter of our constantly diminished voices.
Now we have been given a discovery and an invention that has, for the first time in the history of the shared story of humanity, we have a voice that cannot be silenced, stamped out or controlled by manipulative forces that feed on our energy and God given, irreplaceable time.
We now have the power to vote in the only way that has ever mattered. And every day is election day.
>Every day you choose to learn more about Bitcoin, you are casting a vote.
>Every day you acquire more bitcoin, you are casting a vote.
>Every day you transact in bitcoin, you are casting a vote.
>Every day you zap someone on Nostr, you are casting a vote.
>Every day you meet another Bitcoiner, build a relationship and strengthen Layer Zero (the human layer of Bitcoin) you are casting a vote.
>Every day you introduce someone new to Bitcoin and open the door to freedom, you are casting a vote.
The list goes on. But the truth is clear. Bitcoin is a vote for freedom. It is a vote that cannot be falsified or changed once it has been made. It is a vote that declares for the first time in your life that you are connected to a purpose larger than yourself that will continue with powerful echoes in the world’s symphony long after your time has ended.
This has never been possible until now.
The big election may be over. Their election. But not ours.
So vote every day like your life depends on it.
Because if you're paying attention, you already know - It does.
