You always have a choice in every situation every minute of the day, to choose for the ego or for the Holy Spirit, to listen to one voice or the other. one is your split mind, the other you right mind.

After all, why wouldnt you want to live on psycho planet, where the only thing here for you is guilt, fear, and death? The ego has you mindlessly living your life and has pumped you full of distractions and conflict. but all can vanish if you but choose another way to look at the world.
