When you tag an @ with their correct name, a list appears where you tap the one you want to tag. Sometimes many appear, and God help you, because you have to choose and may not know yet which is the correct one.
jack (npub1sg6…f63m) is a good example, as he has many scammy imitators because he is an OG of great merit. In this case, go to the profile of the tagee (?) and see their followers, etc to inform your future tagging purity. For instance, I don’t know how many times I tagged the fake Adam Back before I realized that
adam3us (npub1qg8…24kw) was the real deal, not adam3u$. If other nostriches were not so helpful, I would have erred ad infinitum! Check out my friend
