After meeting with the Canadian Prime Minister, Trump made a post referring to him as the “governor” of the “great state of Canada.” In several other statements, Trump continued to refer to Canada as the 51st U.S. state.\n\nJustin Trudeau’s administration has faced widespread criticism across various sectors, including defense. Canada currently invests only 1.29% of its GDP in defense, falling well short of NATO’s 2% benchmark.
