I don’t agree. Some people are like that, sure, but the OP hasn’t written anything that suggests to me that he has that mindset.
His reaction to the global feed, if you’re new here, is very understandable. There is some heinous stuff out there.
It’s a mindset shift for most people to learn that we can (and must) control the content we consume. Our society has been conditioned to take whatever is served up with a dopamine hit.
If someone is showing up to nostr this early, that’s a huge start. “The first step is realizing there’s a problem” and all that.
Nostr is in a stage, in my opinion, where nurturing new users and helping people get accustomed to a new way of engaging is crucial to growing this network.
