Understood,

While I'm not an advocate for Monero, I do run a full Monero node, I hold Monero and I've spent it online a few times.

The amount I hold is tiny in Comparison to Bitcoin, I hold it because while I don't choose privacy myself, I do advocate freedom to choose and I have historically held many Altcoins before settling on Bitcoin.

As you possibly saw me comment, the primary advantage Bitcoin has over all other coins combined is the NGU factor. Since I've held Bitcoin the price has risen from $600 per coin in 2016 to currently over $100K a coin.

I'm afraid greed is good.

But that aside, Bitcoin has a chance to change the world and no other coin has that opportunity. It has already established itself as a global reserve asset and it is now re-starting the fight as a currency.

I appreciate the fork wars caused a setback, and Bitcoin adoption as a currency is nowhere near where it should be by now, but despite this, Bitcoin has the best chance of winning the currency wars.

Bitcoin however is not a privacy coin, in fact the "Don't Trust, Verify" ethos is baked into the code in the form of a publicly verifiable ledger and so while privacy features may gradually be introduced, privacy will never, by definition be a core feature of Bitcoin.

Therefore coins like Monero have a role to play in society. It is not my agenda or goal to advocate them, but I do support the community that pushes this narrative.

I don't think toxic maximalism in any sector of society is healthy. I support, from a distance, your efforts.
