That’s horrible. I haven’t seen content like that here yet, but I have seen some unsavory/unethical stuff.
It’s important to curate your relays and your global feed, so that the spammy stuff has a harder time being visible.
My experience on nostr is 95% ees people, and at least 75% stuff that is entirely inoffensive. But it took time to set it up that way.
Highly recommend trying a paid relay like filter.nostr.wine to reduce spam and aggregate high quality relay content.
Also, welcome.nostr.wine (free) filters spam and shows primarily new accounts’ posts, so it’s another way to make your global feed better. I filtered to *only* this relay in global so that’s how I found your post.
Also, find accounts and hashtags you want to follow, and focus there. Like the internet protocol itself, we can’t control what is *on* nostr. But we can control - to a large extent - what we get to see.
It takes some effort, but the result is so worth it.
