It took me over 4 years after divorce to "allow" myself to take a bath in my Jacuzzi, because the ex had never allowed me to. More than 13 years later, I have been arguing with myself about turning on the furnace to keep just myself and dog warm, because.....yup. Sometimes it takes a couple of decades to get over a couple of decades. Oy vey!
