This was another fun one. This bike is an early bike fabricated by Kris Henry in his early days of 44 Bikes - Kris is now a very talented and highly sought after custom builder located in New Hampsire. He honed his craft alongside Ted Wojcik for a bit, before going all in on his own. He builds some of the finest custom bicycles in the country these days out of his shop in NH.
This prototype was called "The SnakeDriver" and it featured the ability to run 29er wheels and tires and or 27.5+ - it also had a high "east coast style" bottom bracket height and was built to be rigid for the most part.

I configured it in numerous ways including ridig 29er, 27.5 with suspension and a bunch of stuff in between.
I think Kris used it as a Dirt Drop handlebar 29er because the reach for him (taller than me) suited this frame's geo. It was pretty steep at the headtube angle and thus incredibly agile, but not ideal for steep tech stuff.
