I will admit I am frightened. In a way that I was not frightened in 2016. Eight years ago you could claim that people didn’t know what they were voting for. But that’s not true in 2024. They know they are voting for violent persecution of minorities, and (having had *that* conversation today) they are not ashamed of it. They are *proud* of it.
