https://post.lurk.org/@rose_alibi/110906417682284488 , something i really wish all services, but especially privacy-focused services, would let you specify is whether your phone number or your email address are the more stable and secure ID-connected handle you control. because i suspect there are large numbers of folks out there for whom phone number is neither secure nor reliable (cheap phone, abusive parent/partner, etc) while email is, and vice versa. neither of those groups should get left behind.
