Most of the cultishness has well articulated reasoning in my experience and most would acknowledge the privacy difficiency but would argue that one can get that level privacy with lightning, ecash, or fediments. Others are just ignorant of a world outside of satoshi. This guys entire line of reasoning is "My master doesn't feed me in anything else thus everything else is irrelevant universally".
