Dear Sirs: We news journalists must walk a tight rope when politically reporting on highly controversial issues that affect the public at large. I viewed the entirety of the CNN Town Hall, I was extremely disappointed with Donald Trump's answers, everyone had operated reasonably within the parameters of the town hall format. I must say that Dr. Freemo is being sensible in his reply to you Alfredo_liberal, although we do want to give Donald Trump an out for not answering or sidestepping questions. CNN had to strictly following the original predetermined town hall format or risk being labeled an organ of left wing propaganda.
Every news media outlet must exercise reasonable due care and due diligence when interviewing political candidates. FOX NEWS failed to adhere and follow proper ethical standards of journalism. CNN NEWS did follow basic proper ethical standards of journalism during the town hall. Journalists are required to be objective, we must allow political candidates to state their political views and opinions without us attempting to lead them in one direction or another, we cannot speak for them or bully them.
