Furthermore, even if you were right, it wouldn't change the fact that what they just did in Lebanon is _unquestionably_ a war crime. There's no "war crimes are ok to increase your citizens' safety" exception to international law.
Finally, what they're doing in Lebanon isn't making anyone safer. Not Israelis and not the Lebanese.
