A passionflower fruit (Passiflora incarnata) getting ripe. In a few weeks the papery skin will be filled with tart citrusy pulp. This one is hanging from a vine that's grown up a tree. Most of the other fruit are scattered in the tall grass, and no matter how carefully you step you inevitably hear the sad *pop* of lost fruit.
