This has been a net negative for the state of Israel in the US. Instead of course correcting when much of the world sees many Israeli government actions in Gaza as group punishment of non-combatants, this deeply corrupt politician doubles down on his embrace of the domestic and international far right, risking even more erosion of support. The man is convinced he is right.
