The intersection where I have a problem with AI models and facial recognition is that there is a long, storied history of tech companies insisting that they aren't using our personal data to train their algorithms, only to find out later that the opposite is true.
This is particularly problematic when images of children are used.
The act of being alive or taking a photo in the past 95 years is not sufficient for there to be a blanket consent to use anyone's existence as a training dataset.
