The one thing I couldn’t see happening in a bitcoinized world was the continuation of high risk and/or exploratory investments because there is no printed easy money available. That puts major industries like #science at risk, since they often depend on novel discoveries that get funded despite not having an obvious commercial application (but may in 20 years, see the history of CRISPR as a recent example).

However it just dawned on me that in a bitcoinized world, everybody’s savings slowly expand their purchasing power (barring catastrophes) as adoption, coin loss, deflationary tech increases. In this case, people will actually have more purchasing power to invest on risky industries. Pretty cool 🤙
