So we have just booked a two week trip to Spain. Three days of this journey will be on a ferry back and forth. We've committed to trains and buses while in Spain. The return foot passenger fare on the ferry is way more expensive than flying. But that latter mode is cheaper because it is higher volume and financialised within an inch of its life.
I have also read that ferry travel is 90pc per capita less carbon intensive than flying. Any reliable data out there?
