My last groups fizzled, so I cancelled my meetup subscription. But those two groups combined cost ~$100 every six months (and it use to be under $80 in 2022). My book club is moving off of Meetup because her one group now cost nearly $200 per half year!

Meetup is international. I've been to tons of different groups in three different countries and countless cities. But now it's just going to be corporate funded slop. Small, affordable independent organic groups are going away.
