What if the App Store rejects the app (assuming iPhone)? What if they stop updating the app? Why should owners of a certain device have to provide that device manufacturer with access to another, very private, device of theirs, where the manufacturer cannot be relied not to abuse this position? (I know the router can already send them tons of data, but still)
