It didn't make the existing so-called assault weapons go away. And what's more they didn't actually stop selling those items. All those bans do is regulate how the firearms look. It would be wonderful if the solution was simple as banning something. It's been tried with alcohol and weed. Didn't work. The sad thing is all this focus on a ban distracts from implementing something effective
