It's not very difficult to realize that someone doesn't love you. One sign is interest in your things, but fundamentally in your outlook on life and your deep concerns. Another is avoidance of communication and presence.
As I always say, people love you as long as you are useful to them, meet their expectations and don't cause them discomfort or inconvenience.
