Well, mainly I’m thinking of my story from a writing perspective and trying to get that aspect right.
But to give a really good example of narrative voice, I’d say The Blade Itself. Logan the barbarian character has his catchphrase repeatedly embedded in the narrative itself, and he doesn’t have a lot of italicized mental thoughts. Meanwhile, a different character Glokta is more intellectual, so he has very long detailed Alize’s thoughts all the time. Good example of close third person limited.
