Hopefully relays can make money other ways. For example basic use twitter style is free, but other apps lets say a blog are paid. Or search might be paid whereas just seeing the latest is free. Maybe a standard for how ads can be sent out too. You can then choose an ad funded relay or a paid one. But it is a choice.
