probably my favorite "god, shut the hell up already" pedantic fact is that when you throw an object it traces out an ellipse, not a parabola. it's in orbit! it would only be a parabola if we lived on an infinite flat plane and the gravitational field was uniform at all points! air resistance does not change this. "uh actually it traces out a geodesic in spacetime" okay now it's *your* turn to shut the hell up #physics
