As a person who finds reality to be interesting, I see my existence as a straight flush only interesting because we think it is. It’s only interesting because we assign reason to it, but any random assortment of numbers could be interesting because the likelihood of them being dealt is the same as any other hand being dealt. I know it’s nihilistic, but we’re dead matter, aware we, as far as we know, are the only things that know we exist. I think it’s pretty wonderful. I just occasionally find myself depressed by it all.
