So, Keycloak does run behind a proxy, but you just have it running over a VPN somewhere else. That is interesting. I'll have to get my friend who was also trying to set things up to send me the configuration he was using that wasn't working. I have a feeling that one little setting got missed. That's always how it works; in a different scenario, we had multiple LDAP domains at one point, and even though they all have transitive trusts in the same forest, my friend was not able to go from mine to his, and so we flattened it. Neither of us wanted to find that one setting that died. LOL
