I agree. To me getting engaged was a promise of getting married. Also didn't want to wait too long for the wedding, so we just made it happen the next summer. Not a lot of people think this way tho... Getting engaged seems to be a promise of a serious relationship to a lot of people, which in my books means really nothing. Trust doesn't come with a piece of metal, after all 😁
