Tool repair. This old and well abused meat cleaver had a plastic handle, which shattered to pieces, luckily without injury.

Took a small piece of birch firewood, cut off a length, bit of planing, cutting, carving, two brass pins, some glue and finally sanding and oiling.

Should be a lot sturdier. I tested it by splitting some wood as I didn't have any carcass handy.
