I’m starting to believe the only way to onboard people to be non-custodial holders of their Bitcoin is to use pass phrases with their seedphrase. Save the seedphrsse in some password manager, or use Passkeys to protect them, and make the passphrase simple and personal enough that they can remember it. As long as software wallets support pass phrases on top of BIP39, we’ll be good to go. Multisigs and hardware wallets are not the answer for 99% of people.
