I'm super dubious about the business model, but quite interested in the protocol and how it differs from ActivityPub - bit too complicated for me but I'm starting to look through both specs for a better understanding. I'm hoping Mastodon sticks around - didn't realise how much I hated all the attempts at viral clout-grabbing crap on Twitter.
