Something I will never stop trying to get better at, with mixed success, is picking battles.
I am glad I never internalized "being good at computers" as deeply as some people because I think it would have given me a harmful form of audacity, leading me to attempt things that would not have been a good use of my time, derailed me philosophically + ideologically into "building the wrong thing" and thinking more like a tech company / a programmer who makes the world worse.
