it’s not one of those things where you can get a definitive answer.
any link i would send would say essentially that shady things surround the founding, and founder, and there is a conspicuous lack of protest from western agencies around protons supposed security level.
To me, the latter is always the more concerning one.
same reason why i would no longer use signal for something i wanted to keep secret.
