Personally I think Nostr has a much more difficult learning curve than X, so the adoption should be slower (public key, private key, NIP-05, lightning wallet integration, etc...). I think that without a doubt, protocols like Nostr are the future and the place to be.
I also agree with the colleague who emphasizes Quality over Quantity.
