#WritersCoffeeClub 7 February. How many stages of editing do you go through? What are they?
To be honest I don't count how many. I write using Scrivener. Usually re-read bits as I write and change if needed. Once I have a full draft then I begin the editing process.
This will involve re-reading, moving stuff around, adding, deleting. Do this a few times until I'm sort of happy. Then it's off to my beta reader. Once I get it back it's more of the same. Beats me how many times.
Finally before I submit it to my publisher I listen to it and, wow, does that find a lot of tiny errors. Then I kiss it bye-bye, cross my fingers, and hope my publisher likes it.
