Japan’s government has officially “won the war on floppy disks” having finally scrapped all but one of the 1,034 regulations governing their use in and by government, reports PC Gamer (npub12up…gw0t).

Up until a few days ago, almost all government systems had been run by the three-decade-old tech, but Digital Minister Taro Kono has made it his mission to move towards newer, better technology. Here’s more.
