But it seems to me that a whole self-publishing industry is very dependent on Amazon and that a slight change in Amazon's algorithm or policies could devastate a lot of authors. It reminds me of the music industry in the 60's when big acts like the Rolling Stones and Credence Clearwater sold millions of albums, but the record companies took all the money. In general, creators don't get paid.
