Something I find ironic: I was a child in the heyday of the Satanic Panic and it continued to reverberate throughout my youth in a sometimes-fundamentalist #church environment. I was taught to be aware of subliminal messages and subtle ways in which I could be incrementally corrupted by evil, to not take things at face-value and consider ulterior motives.

And now many who instilled this in me are so easily swayed by #propaganda and lies. Wild how they seemed to forget their own lessons to me.
