After the Public Finance Initiative (and linked developments) driven forward by the Blair Govt. not only caused excessive costs to the NHS (detailed by the National Audit Office in 2018), but produced badly build hospitals, now erstwhile Blairite Matthew Taylor, (CEO NHS Confederation) is calling for PFI to be revived to help meet the backlog of maintenance & building in the NHS.
