This is why we need to eliminate the idea of elected law enforcement.
Sheriffs should be hired, based on a federal law enforcement guidelines and their office should be, BY LAW, strictly non-partisan and subject to immediate termination for any violation or failure to uphold their oath to the community.
There should be NO elected police in this country. This isn't the 1880s.
