This begs the question of how (if at all) people use information about vaccine evidence. Do they ignore it? If they process it, are there distortions in the cognitive processing? Could the information be processed differently by people with different vaccination attitudes? And how does the effect of possible cognitive distortions on vaccine refusal compare to the effect of other relevant factors, such as demographic variables?
