Google gives everyone 15GB of free storage.
https://one.google.com/storage (see screenshot) shows how much storage you are using for gmail, photos, drive, etc.
I was using 2GB for gmail even though my inbox, sent, trash and spam were almost empty. Then I clicked gmail ‘promotions’ and saw 28k entries. Yikes!
After deleting the first page of promotion entries I then clicked an option to ‘mark all as read’ and then clicked an option to ‘delete all’ - which took about a minute.
Now Google reports I am only using a tiny amount of my 15GB. Good, because I am going to use Google Drive to host GeoJPG #maps that anyone can use *offline*. Stay tuned....
