What if P52 only talked to other P52 servers, (via the ActivityPub protocol) but they “decentralize” by putting an instance in each country (or specific country groups)?
If they did that it would still be a Meta controlled walled garden - but Meta would at least be able to try to claim compliance with European data privacy laws regarding data export, where they are still fighting legal battles today.
